I fused powdered glass to sheet glass (System 96) to have blanks to test some sandblasting techniques. this post is on the fusing firing, future posts will be on the cold working tests.
The above picture is post firing, from top left to bottom right, the tiles are as follows:

These were fired in kiln #2, with the following schedule:

The kiln was fired on Monday November 30th, and unloaded on Wednesday December 2nd.
Since the Elements are out on Kiln #2 in the bottom, I built the shelves higher than where the elements are missing. There were two shelves in the Kiln. The powder all fused fully, the texture is not particularly even, it's a little dappled, and on the ones where there was more than one layer of coloured powder the colour in the middle shows through a little. This might be remedied by sifting thicker layers of colour onto the sheet glass.
