I've been included in a mentorship program through ECA, and Heather Gillespie was so kind as to take on Juli and I as mentees. She invited us Cumbria this weekend, and had the immense pleasure of being able to use the studios for a while at Cumbria Crystal. It was wonderful to see how the factory was set up, and our hosts were all so generous.

I think that this program is a great one, helping students to make connections with people who have recently made the transition from an educational environment to a professional one, it's a difficult time, and broader support is so often very helpful. I feel very lucky to be included in the program as I reach the halfway point in my time at ECA, I think that it is good for me to be thinking a year in advance, it's not something that I am particularly good at.
