Anne Peters came and did a demo this Monday. She's going to Northlands Glass for a residency for the next six weeks, and stopped in on the way to show us how she makes her work, which is incredible. She makes extremely delicate sheets of fused frit that she draws on and manipulates n the kiln. She demonstrated an very effective way of making consistently sized frit, and how she makes plaster "canvases" on which to draw. I learned a ton from the day, and am going to work on integrating some of the techniques that we were shown into my own process in the future.
